Becomes the only data center in India – certified to protect against
the #1 cause of unplanned downtime – Human Error
Mumbai, November 16, 2022: Yotta Infrastructure – the operator of Asia’s largest multi-tenant Tier IV data center facility – Yotta NM1 – has won a rare Tier IV Gold Operations Sustainability certificate from Uptime Institute, USA. This certifies Yotta NM1 data center’s operations and processes to be optimally designed to eliminate any human error that could potentially cause an accidental downtime of the data center facility.
Human error is responsible for a majority of all data center incidents. According to Uptime Institute, bad operational practices are 5x more likely to negatively impact a data center than any other cause. The Tier IV Certification of Operational Sustainability (TCOS) is a holistic assessment of staffing and organisational practices, maintenance and operations activities, and management and planning – aligned with risk reduction, reduced downtime and operational efficiency business objectives.

The rigorous certification process of Gold TCOS assessed Yotta NM1 on multiple parameters such as data utilisation, software infrastructure, operating systems, redundancy, and other facility components to identify potential sources of unplanned downtime and ensure uninterrupted operations under all conditions defined by Uptime Institute. This certification is a stamp of approval for world-class standards to which Yotta NM1 adheres. Hence, for businesses hosted at Yotta NM1, their IT setup will continue to perform irrespective of any external or internal disturbances or disasters.
